Team Levels Offered

Compulsory Team (Level 2-5)

Each level progresses in the compulsory competitive levels with more advanced skills. Gymnasts attend USAG sanctioned competitions in order to qualify for the SC-USAG State meet at the conclusion of the competition season. Dependent upon the level, gymnasts receive awards based on participation or on scores at each event in their age division and level.

Xcel Team (Bronze)

The Xcel Program is designed to offer a broad-based, competitive experience outside the traditional Compulsory Program to attract and retain a diverse group of athletes. Routines have some freedom in choreography and required skills that are developed based on skills for each gymnast’s strength.

Optional Team (Level 6-Level 10)

Advanced Optional level routines are developed based on skills for each gymnast’s strength, style, and difficulty level. Gymnasts attend USAG sanctioned competitions in order to qualify for the SC-USAG State meet at the conclusion of the competitions season. Gymnasts receive awards based on scores at each event in their age division and level.

State is over and we have some time before regionals, so this week was about new skills! We’re excited about a break from routines, and working on new things! #CCG
